Bring-in Bets
After dealing one face-up and two face-down cards to each player, the player with comparatively lowest face-up card is forced to post the bring-in bet. It is to be understood that the player who has the lowest face-up card will not fold in the first round of betting. Instead the player should post a small amount, for instance, in $2–$4 game it is $1 bring-in bet.
Breaking the Tie
There may be cases where more than one player will have the card of same rank. In those cases, the suit of the face-up card will be used to decide the player who should post the bring-in bet. Though suits are not ranked in most of the poker games, it can be used for breaking ties when there are no better options. From lowest rank to highest, the hierarchy of suits is clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades. Consider the case where player 1 and player 2 are having 4? and 4? respectively; the one with 4? must post the bring-in bet as it is the lowest card.
It is possible for the player posting bring-in bet to choose “bring it in” for full bet ($2) rather than smaller bring-in amounts. This will enable them to win more money if they hit the pot.

Today, hundreds if not thousands of poker sites thrive in the web. They all offer poker that’s for sure. But the differences in their presentation and all the promotional tactics employed are enough to confuse a player, especially those who are quite inexperienced. They all seem the same and spotting the difference might be a little tricky. But how do we really determine the best online poker site? What are the qualities we should look for? Read on.
When choosing an online site the initial factor that should be considered is its popularity. A lot of people don’t see the importance of this quality but one should remember that your entire gaming experience may significantly depend on this one. It would be better for a poker player to opt for larger poker sites. For one, greater number of people gets to visit these sites. Because of this, the site expands its choices of games. Also, it is with these sites that one can be assured of being accommodated in a table of his choice anytime he logs in. There will be no need to worry of not having anyone to play against if one can only play at wee hours. With larger sites, the game server is also able to offer a variety of poker games that a player can choose from. Unlike in smaller sites where only the most popular poker games are offered, one can finds in a large poker site his favorite game even if it is not that popular.
Choosing a larger site also assured a player that his game server will be staying in business for a reasonably long time and that since they are earning so much money, the pot will really be awarder to the person who deserves it. With smaller sites, you can never know when they may disappear out of thin air. Most importantly, with larger sites more people are playing so more bets are placed in the pot. A poker player therefore will have the chance to earn so much more than he does when playing in less popular online sites.
Another consideration that should be taken into account by a player when choosing the right poker site online is the game variety it offers. Choosing a site according to this consideration will entirely depend on your inclination. If you are easily board with single variety of game then you can choose the site that offers a wide variety of games instead. If you are perfectly fine with only your favorite game in a site then that is fine too.
One more ground that should be considered is financial gain. This one applies to those who play with real bets. Admit it if you are playing with money involved your intention will always be to take home more and more cash that is accumulated during the game. Choose the site that is well established and has a lot of players and members. Remember, these players are the one that funds the site, so the more number of players, the better.
Customer service is another determining factor. Go for the site that takes care and go for the safety of their players. This is especially important for one who is playing for money.
