How many times a year does PastTimes come out?

PastTimes prints a total of 6 times each year. Five issues are printed bi-monthly from September through June. There is also a special edition that prints each year.

How much does a subscription cost?

The cost for a one-year subscription is $19.95. For two-years, $34.95. You can subscribe by going here.

Is PastTimes a digital or physical publication?

We do have a free issue available for download that is digital but PastTimes is a printed publication. Each issue is a 12-page, 11X17 tabloid sized newspaper.

Are all the stories in PastTimes real?

All of the articles in PastTimes recount true events from American history. We present these factual stories using creative writing techniques. Occasionally, a quote is added that is fictional, but which reflects the sentiment of the time.

There are also a few pieces of historical fiction included in PastTimes, in which we take a fictional character and place him or her at the scene of a factual event in the past.

Is PastTimes for kids or adults?

We have worked hard to create a publication in which the entire family can enjoy. Adults and children alike find PastTimes informative and enjoyable to read.

Usually when a child begins to study American history, they are able to understand most of the articles in PastTimes. All of our issues are suitable for children and do not contain inappropriate content.
